1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Baby Names ("the App," "we," "our," or "us") handles information. The App is a free baby-name discovery app for iPhone and iPad. We respect your privacy and have built the App to keep your data on your device.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect personally identifiable information. Baby Names has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not run servers that receive your data.
- No sign-in, account, or registration.
- No location, contacts, camera, or microphone access.
- Family details you enter (parent and sibling names) and your style choices are used only to personalise suggestions on-device and are stored locally.
- Your saved Library and preferences are stored locally on your device.
3. On-Device Personalisation
Personalised names are generated using on-device processing. This happens on your iPhone or iPad. Your family details and taste are not sent to us or to any third party for name generation.
4. Advertising
Baby Names offers an optional “watch an ad to earn coins” feature using Google AdMob. When you choose to watch an ad, AdMob may collect a limited set of identifiers (such as the iOS Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA) and basic device and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads.
Before any tracking-based ads are shown, we present Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, AdMob serves only non-personalised ads and the IDFA is not shared. See Google’s policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. In-App Purchases
Magic Coins purchases are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see your payment details. Your purchase entitlements are verified through Apple and stored locally on your device.
6. Notifications
The App may ask permission to send a small number of local notifications — for example, a gentle nudge to keep exploring names. These are scheduled on-device. We do not run a push server.
7. iCloud
The App may use Apple’s iCloud to sync your Library and preferences between your own devices. iCloud data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy; we never see the contents of your iCloud container.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share user data. The only third-party data flow is from Google AdMob when you choose to watch a rewarded ad, as described above.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for expectant and new parents and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.

Baby Names is provided for inspiration and entertainment. Name meanings and origins are presented in good faith but are not guaranteed to be exhaustive or historically definitive. By installing the App you agree to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs all App Store apps.
Magic Coins are a digital good used within the App and carry no monetary value outside it. The Unlimited Magic Coins purchase is a one-time, non-consumable unlock tied to your Apple ID; it is not a subscription and does not auto-renew. Refund requests are handled by Apple under their standard policy.
